Jiulong Waterfalls
Jiulong Waterfalls (Jiulong Pùbùqún) is a stunning cascade of nine distinct waterfalls nestled in the lush, mist-shrouded mountains of Yunnan Province — one of China’s most biodiverse and scenic regions. Located near the town of Luoping in eastern Yunnan, it’s easily accessible from Kunming and surrounded by karst peaks, terraced fields, and ethnic Zhuang and Yi villages. The waterfalls tumble dramatically over layered limestone cliffs, with the tallest drop exceeding 100 meters — offering breathtaking views, refreshing mist, and excellent opportunities for photography and light hiking. It’s especially magical in spring (February–April), when rapeseed flowers blanket the valley and the water flow is at its peak.
